Vicky Ryan – :
My husband and I both read this book from cover to cover before our baby started his solids journey, and we still refer to it frequently. It is very readable, supportive, empowering and practical. It has helped us to feel more confident in our approach, and gives us real evidence to back up our choices if/when we need to. Our nearly 9 month old loves his food and is thriving. The weekly food guide is a fantastic resource and keeps things fresh and interesting (both for him to eat and for me to prepare!) Whilst the recipes are useful, it is far more than a recipe book, and we would certainly recommend it to all new parents who want a current and evidence-based approach to introducing solids.
Jo Fitchew – :
I have found this book invaluable.
Despite being pretty well read on nutrition, I found navigating the literature around introducing solids for babies very hard going. I was really excited when this book was released. Well written and easy to understand with enough science to support the reasoning but not too hard going either. I found the week by week plan really helpful for a tired mum wanting to do the best for her baby but with limited time. Highly recommend!
Katie Roggisch – :
I am a first time Mum and was feeling rather nervous about how to approach solids. One of my friends recommended The Nourished Baby to me and I have never looked back! I also went to one of Dr Bhosale’s talks recently and found that further enhanced my confidence and understanding of how to cope with the ups and downs of the solids journey. I would highly recommend this book as a fantastic guide and troubleshooting reference.
Terri Agterberg (verified owner) – :
I read this book cover to cover in two days and even as a second time Mum have found it invaluable. I forgot how I managed to get through the solids journey with my first and had lost a bit of confidence coming into it a second time round – this book alleviated my fears and reinforced my own personal beliefs. It is informative and practical and in no way overwhelming. I will be recommending this to all my friends with new babies and am now excited to get into solid foods with my second little man.
Julie Bhosale – :
Thanks so much Terri! So glad you enjoyed it and two days flat is amazing with two little ones! All the best for your food journey x
