Valentines Day is coming up! I know that it is super commercialised now but hey in the busyness of life, especially with children, it does not hurt to have a decent excuse to put some time into those that you love, especially your partner.
I actually created this recipe when Smushie was a newborn and I was often up late at night feeding him….little monkey still likes a middle of the night feed!
Using only four ingredients and free of refined sugar these little heart chocolates will be a sure winner for a home-made Valentines Day pressie!
You will need a chocolate mold – for those in New Zealand I found a large variety at Spotlight for approximately $10 (bargain!)

Ingredients:
1/2 cup of coconut oil
1/2 cup of coco powder
1 tsp of vanilla extract
3-4 Tb of honey
Directions:
1. Melt coconut oil in a saucepan.
2. Add the other ingredients (coco powder, vanilla extract and honey) mix well together – stir constantly until smooth.
3. Spoon into molds and place into the fridge for an hour to set. Alternatively just put the tray in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
4. Pop out and enjoy! (As they are made from coconut oil, in this heat they will melt quickly so keep in the fridge!)
Happy Valentines Day everyone!

Yay!! Nothing to fancy here in our house either! I do recommend doing the ingredients one at a time – especially melting the coconut oil first. In a rush I have thrown them all in but the consistency is never as good! Enjoy 🙂
